I read your original article, your followup, and all the comments and trackbacks on each. My take on it is that the Smalltalk users who commented didn't think Smalltalk was without flaws; they just thought you didn't know what you were talking about, and that the things you thought were flaws were either not present or virtues. In short, they did want to hear what you had to say, and they heard it, but what you had to say was almost entirely wrong.
